Raina Fujiwara

Raina Fujiwara is a first-year student and the head of Ramshackle Dormitory. A delicate girl whose smile seems to hide an ever growing darkness.

Appearance

Raina has long deep maroon hair that falls down to her hips. She has a fringe and several strands curling to frame her face. Since her hair is so long and wavy, it has the impression of being unkempt. Her eyes are a pale, wisteria purple and are framed by long, dark lashes. She’s described as having doll eyes–and with her often having a distant, airheaded expression, it’s not a surprise.She always wears a pair of dangling, wisteria earrings. According to her, they’re a family heirloom.She wears the standard white blouse and ties her necktie into a ribbon. She wears a thick cardigan over the blouse. She uses a pleated skirt, along with thigh high stockings for her version of the school uniform. She finishes the look with a pair of white, Oxford heels.She has a very buxom figure and she gets shy when people point it out–hence why she likes to wear a thick cardigan over it. She does, however, enjoy being called soft and likes to give people hugs.

Personality

“Someone once told me, that when there’s kindness… magic is sure to follow!”Incredibly positive and kind; Raina always has a sweet smile on and a nice word to give to the people around her. She strongly believes that there is some form of true magic in being kind and though she's surrounded by villains who perceive this behaviour as 'unbearably naïve', it doesn't shake her faith in the idea. She has a stubbornness in her that clings onto the things she wants to believe in and the things she feels are correct. She's someone who one would describe as ruled by her heart and her emotions; and this is partially true. In that she keeps a tight lid on her negative emotions and instead will purposely lose herself in the whimsy of her positive emotions. She doesn’t like carrying negative thoughts about anything–and prefers to simply enjoy, without worry, this new world before her. If she could spend all her days filled with the flushed cheeks and the quick beating of her heart; then maybe she could convince herself this was true happiness."If I just smile, everything will be okay... right?"If only it was that simple.For all her cheerfulness and interest in this strange new world she's found herself in, a fear has begun to grow inside her. She's terrified of how big the world, no, the galaxy, is. She is scared of being in a strange world where she feels as if her morality is constantly questioned. She wants to continue being kind and good but if nobody appreciates that behaviour, then how is she meant to act when she can't stomach acting any differently? She doesn't want to change the way she acts just to "fit in", she wants to stand by what she believes is the "good" thing to do. In extension to that, that different in her morality and attitude makes her feel that nobody is on “her side”; nobody understands her and nobody would bother to."'Blooming in adversity'... Really? I think I'm wilting."The delicate girl responsible for such a beautiful smile, is slowly being consumed by an ever growing darkness. Perhaps she was once a truly positive person; but actually underneath everything, ever since she entered Twisted Wonderland, she is drowning in her pessimism, loneliness, sadness and alienation. She sometimes has no idea how to function because she's steadily being suffocated by her stressors and the hopelessness of her situation. Nothing is familiar to her and most everyone doesn't seem to realise how utterly terrible her situation is. Still, because she's so known for her smile; she'll keep smiling. In nobody knowing or understanding her situation, she also believes none of them should be burdened by the sinking feeling that continues to consume her."If I could just feel a little bit of joy..."The only time she feels something different is when she is with her favourite senior, Jade Leech. Without a doubt, Raina Fujiwara fell in love with him upon their first meeting; and if you ask her about her feelings for him, she wouldn't be able to pin down any specificities as to how her feelings blossomed. Maybe its the glow of his eyes or the curve of his smile; perhaps its the gentleness upon which he treated her or perhaps it's the intrigue of his silver tongue. What she could tell you is how he makes her feel. When she's with him, she feels able to breath again. The reality of her situation completely escapes her and instead she's wrapped up in the softest and warmest feelings."If we could stay all day in the sun..."Perhaps the way everything that worries her is eclipsed by the magnitude of her feelings for him is just because he's her first love, and she's never experienced anything quite like this. Maybe what they have isn't meant to last together; but in the few seconds she could share with him, she finally finds some relief from her own suffocating feelings. Even if she's unsure about his own feelings, and even if that might make her falter at times--what matters in this moment is the absolute joy he gives her and how that makes her feel like she can smile so genuinely from her very soul and how it no longer feels like a lie. So she'll take his hand and secretly wish that she might just become part of his world.

Skills and Magic

In her true story (referred to as Diver), Raina is incapable of using magic because an Ancestor of hers struck a deal with the gods to never let magic flow in the veins of their descendants. Even if Raina herself is unaware of her birthright, something within her, her very soul is aware that she was someone who should have been born with magic. There is something inherent in her that can understand magic and magical creatures. But it is also why magic in itself (and creatures with magic) are ultimately attracted to her. Dire Crowley could only understand this trait of hers as "beast taming".Still, in a world of magic, desiring the ability to at least protect herself, Raina asked Crowley to give her a meter stick to defend herself. As a young child, Raina was actually trained in the art of naginatajutsu so she wields the meter stick like a naginata.(｡･ ω<)ゞ

Unique Magic

In an alternate universe (referred to as Folklore); Raina is born in Twisted Wonderland and she has access to the Unique Magic "Flowers of Adversity". It lets her grow flowers and trees without limit—never mind the current season. She’s noted that she’s especially good at growing magnolia trees and she loved growing wisteria trees. While it can let her grow them, she cannot reverse it so she will leave flowers behind when she uses her magic. After some time, if she doesn’t connect with the plants and “top-up” the magical energy inside—they will eventually begin obeying the law of the seasons.As long as Ai is born with inherent magic, she will have a large quantity of it and is therefore, highly susceptible to blot.

Trivia

She loves flowers and likes to research their meaning. Her favourite flowers are the wisteria and the magnolia. The wisteria is the flower of her family and the magnolia reminds her of someone she loves very much.
Ai's incredibly talented in painting and it comes much more naturally to her than singing (which she was trained in, back in her own world). She has the tendency to vent or release her emotions through artworks and is such, very private with her completed original art pieces.
Once she named her feelings for Jade as "love"; she immediately declared her feelings for him even if she was really flustered and embarrassed. He was completely stunned, not because she had feelings (he easily discerned her budding feelings for him) but by the fact she laid her heart bare for him ever so bravely. He agreed to a relationship with her because he thought it be fun.
She’s an amateur singer, her concert hall is the bathroom but she always sings with all her emotions. Grim enjoys her singing though and Azul Ashengrotto likes her voice enough to hire her as a singer at the Lounge. Azul is also very fond of how often she praises him and how she looks up to him so much.
She has a pretty good relationship with Floyd Leech as well. He enjoys receiving hugs from her because of how soft she is to hold.
Malleus Draconia thinks very fondly of Ai; her considers her a "bright light". She refers to him as "bright eyes". The two of them are practically soulmates.
Despite how seemingly rocky her relationship is with Ace Trappola, the two of them actually get along really well and she thinks of him as a best friend. She will cling onto him and though he complains, he won't push her away.
She has three different possible stories titled Diver, Enchanted and Folklore. Diver is her most "canonical" story and has her as the Prefect character whilst Folklore has her being born in Twisted Wonderland.
